What is digital accessibility?

Digital accessibility is a set of rules and best practices that cover, in particular, functional, graphical, technical, and editorial aspects.

Compliance with these rules and best practices ensures that digital media (websites, mobile applications, PDF documents, etc.) are accessible to persons with disabilities.

An accessible website, for example, makes it possible to:

  • Personalize its display through the operating system and/or the browser (enlarging or reducing text size, changing typography, modifying colors, stopping animations, etc.).
  • Navigate using assistive technologies such as screen readers or braille displays.
  • Navigate without using a mouse, with the keyboard only, with switches, or via a touchscreen.
  • Access videos and audio content using subtitles and/or transcripts.
  • And more.

Digital accessibility commitments

France Médias Monde is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its websites (internet, intranet, and extranet), mobile applications, software solutions, and digital urban facilities, in accordance with Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005 (in French).

To this end, it is implementing the strategy and actions set out in the document "Multiannual Accessibility Implementation Plan and Action Plan 2025-2027" (in French).

In order to achieve the best possible outcome, accessibility is taken into account by all teams (functional and graphic design, development, content contribution, etc.) throughout the creation and maintenance of websites and mobile applications.

Declaration of partial conformity with the RGAA

This statement applies to the website "mc-doualiya.com".

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the RGAA (Référentiel Général d'Amélioration de l'Accessibilité (in French)) - version 4.1.2, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Test Results

The accessibility compliance audit against RGAA version 4.1.2, carried out in July 2025 by the company Ideance, followed by a counter-audit in December 2025, revealed that within the sample tested:

  • Overall compliance rate: 59.9%. This rate is obtained by dividing the number of compliant criteria by the number of applicable criteria.
  • Average compliance rate: 62.6%. This rate is obtained by calculating the average of the compliance rates of each page.

Additional remarks

Validity of the generated source code

The generated source code of the website's pages is not fully valid according to the specified document type.

However, for the reasons set out below, criterion 8.2 of the RGAA corresponding to this point has been marked as compliant.

Formally, WCAG criterion 4.1.1, which corresponds to RGAA criterion 8.2, was removed in WCAG 2.2 and must be considered as always satisfied under WCAG 2.1 as well as the European standard EN 301 549.

In practice, this criterion no longer provides any accessibility benefit for persons with disabilities. Any accessibility issues resulting from invalid source code are already covered by other RGAA criteria.

Establishment of this declaration

This declaration was prepared on 9 December 2025.
